AI transparency
How Iota works
Last updated: 5 September 2026
Iota is the AI assistant inside Propiota. It helps you describe what you’re looking for in plain language, finds real listings that fit, and explains what it found. We believe you should know when you’re talking to an AI and how it reaches its answers, so here is a plain-language account.
What Iota does
- Turns your request (“a PG near HSR under ₹15k”) into a structured search.
- Ranks and summarises real, published listings from our catalogue.
- Drafts descriptions, neighbourhood notes and operator/ops summaries from actual data.
- Answers follow-up questions about a place using the details operators have provided.
Where its answers come from
Iota’s answers are grounded in real listing data — prices, amenities, locality and availability that operators enter and that our team helps verify. Iota phrases and organises that information; it is instructed not to invent facts. Even so, AI can make mistakes.
Its limits — please verify
- Iota’s output is informational only. It is not legal, financial, tax, or professional real-estate advice.
- Details can be out of date or wrong. Confirm price, availability, and terms directly before you pay or commit.
- Iota does not make final decisions for you, and no tenancy or payment happens without your explicit action.
Human oversight
People stay in the loop. Operators are responsible for their listings; our operations team reviews reported and flagged content; and you can report anything that looks wrong. AI-assisted text on the platform is produced to support these human processes, not to replace them.
Your data and Iota
Your messages to Iota and your searches are processed to answer you and to provide the service. Your inputs may also be reviewed and used to train and improve our models and the service. We handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable rules — see our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights (including how to object to this use).
Responsible-AI commitments
We aim to align with India’s evolving AI-governance expectations (including the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s advisories) — being transparent that content is AI-assisted, avoiding unlawful, deceptive or discriminatory output, and giving you a way to flag problems.
Report an AI problem
If Iota shows something inaccurate, unsafe, or unfair, please tell us at jain.himanshu@hotmail.com (or use the report control on a listing). Formal grievances can be raised with our Grievance Officer — see the Privacy Policy.
